From Colombia to México the marimba has a tradition that comes from Africa. Sones de Marimba moves from son Jarocho to Currulao, from Afro-Peruvian rhythms to Cuban beats with a touch of jazz and modern music. Their music travels around the pacific ocean to the Caribbean sea and arrives to the mediterranean to mix with different cultures. The songs in Spanish are inspired by the daily life in the cities and their people.

Sones de Marimba It is made up of musicians with international experience, the members have been play at international jazz and world music festivals in Spain, Mexico, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, USA, Romania, Azerbaijan, Italy, Morocco, among many other countries; sharing stages with musicians such as Tim Garland (Chick Corea), Perico Sambeat (Brad Mehldau), Roberto Vizcaino (Chucho Valdes), Isaac Delgado, Lila Downs, Alejandro Fernandez, Ana Torroja and more musicians of different styles.
